Bravo has paused production of “The Real Housewives of Miami,” which concluded its seventh season in October, multiple news outlets report.
The reality TV show is considered the least-watched series in Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise, despite its fan base.
All About The Real Housewives reports that production costs have also been a factor. Long-time cast members’ salaries have grown significantly over the years, making the expense harder to justify when ratings fall short.
Housewife Alexia Nepola’s husband, Todd Nepola, accused Bravo, NBCUniversal Media and the show’s production company of defamation and using his name to amplify false storylines, Deadline reports.
This is not the first time the show has been shelved. It was previously paused in 2013 after its third season before being revived on Peacock in 2021 and eventually returning to Bravo.
