The Iran war isn’t the only issue dividing Americans (“What Americans think about the war in Iran, according to recent polls,” Web, March 10).

Even before the war, Democrats and the left-leaning news media were spreading lies and propaganda about President Trump. Other than “getting Trump,” most Democrats running for office don’t even have an agenda.

Although they didn’t call out President Biden for the high price of gasoline, they are now in a snit because of the sharp but temporary increase in gas costs.

As a result, my fear is that Republicans will lose seats in November. Democrats should be honest with themselves and acknowledge that the war is necessary and that Mr. Trump is having great success. As the No. 1 world sponsor of terrorism, Iran must never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.

In the final analysis, the world will be safer for this war. In the meantime, although the United States is geographically united, we couldn’t be further apart spiritually and politically.
