It’s far too common for today’s ministers and preachers and faith leaders to call on their congregations to support open borders based on the notion that Jesus is a socialist and views all humans equally.

But that’s a skewing of biblical truths. Protecting borders is indeed biblically sound.

As Alex McFarland of Alex McFarland Ministries said, “Ministers in America for a number of years have not done their job.”

Instead, they’ve been misinterpreting key passages of the Bible and telling their followers to demand open borders, denounce President Trump’s efforts to control the border, and fight against any political attempt to slow the wave of migrants into America. And their justification for telling those of faith this? They say Jesus is love, and Jesus loves all humans, and all humans have a right to travel freely, just like the sojourners of the Bible whom the Israelis were told to treat with kindness.

“I have near contempt for my fellow ministers — not all, most,” McFarland said. “Biblically, a minister is not a B-grade motivational speaker … not just this kindly little babysitter to encourage people and affirm everything. A true minister wants to proclaim first and foremost the message of Jesus … but also … to help souls get saved and intellect expanded, and we are to proclaim truth no matter what.”

Border control is a crucial step in keeping this country free and secure for the long-term

As McFarland said, “We have to secure the borders. We have to stabilize our nation. We have to reimplement the rule of law that the Democrat Party has worked for so many decades to abolish.”
