OPINION:
The Republicans had better get things together and do it now. With resignations, death and injury involving House members, the Republican majority is now at a slim two-vote margin.
If the party does not start making good on its promises, then the Democrats have a good chance in the midterms and likely will win the House in November.
That means the first order of business of Democratic Reps. Hakeem “Mouthpiece” Jeffries of New York and Nancy Pelosi of California could be impeachment articles formulated against President Trump. The lead actor for this nonsense will be Rep. Al Green, with cane in hand, of Texas.
Then we will have a solid two years of impeachment activity directed at Mr. Trump. The nation cannot withstand another such witch hunt.
If these feckless Republicans fail to do their jobs this year and do not present commonsense candidates for election to the House, then the party will lose the chamber.
Democratic attacks on President Trump will begin, and America will lose. Again.
