A weed dispensary co-owned by rapper and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” actor Ice-T has closed after less than a year in business.

His Medicine Woman dispensary in Jersey City, New Jersey, across the Hudson River from New York City, was the second location for the brand.

The original is in the Los Angeles area.

An employee at the now-shuttered store confirmed its closure to New Jersey’s Record newspaper, without revealing a reason or its last day of operation. On Google, the dispensary is listed as permanently closed, and the location is no longer listed on the Medicine Woman website.

The store and Ice-T’s participation were first announced in 2022.

“As a New Jersey native, I’m excited for the opportunity legalization offers our community, and I look forward to ushering in a new era for Cannabis in the state,” Ice-T, whose real name is Tracy Marrow, said in a release at the time.

Despite initial projections that the store would open in 2022, it started last April 19, according to The Record, the day before the yearly marijuana holiday.

New Jersey marijuana news hub Heady NJ noted that Medicine Woman faced stiff local competition — including from two other older dispensaries along the same Jersey City street.
