Melania Trump teased more children-focused first lady initiatives as she promoted her upcoming documentary.

Children were her priority during her first stint in the White House, and now she’s emulating that.

Mrs. Trump spearheaded “Fostering the Future” to secure educational opportunities and scholarships for foster care children. In an interview with Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo, published Thursday, she said she’s working on another piece of legislation for such children.

“It’s very important that all of these children, when they transition from foster care, they’re on their own,” she said, emphasizing the importance of propping them up so they can take care of themselves.

“Fostering the Future” has since expanded into a global coalition involving world leaders, focusing on technology, education and innovation. She said the White House will host a summit at the end of March, when her initiative will be the focal point.

The first lady also discussed training children to understand the nuances of artificial intelligence on “how positive it can be and how negative it can be.” She stressed the need for more teachers who know how to teach children how to use the technology.

She said that “we need to be their teacher and to support them at what they do and show them what is right and what is wrong.”

In line with her children-focused initiatives, Mrs. Trump last year wrote a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, urging him to make peace for the sake of children affected by the Russia-Ukraine war. She said he wrote back and that her representative is in contact with him, working to reunite more children separated during the conflict.

While her focus in the White House has been on children, she said her priority is her family.

Her documentary, “Melania,” which premieres Thursday night at the Trump-Kennedy Center, involved cameras following her from morning to night for 20 days leading to the January 2025 inauguration.

She said viewers will see fashion, an original score titled “Melania’s Vault” and her second transition as the first lady.

Mrs. Trump said she, as the lead producer, is working on a documentary series that will include scenes not featured in the film.
