A woman found dead at the four-star Fairmont San Francisco hotel on Thursday is Victoria Jones, 34, daughter of Tommy Lee Jones, according to reports.
A source told the Daily Mail that a hotel guest found a woman lying on the floor on the 14th floor of the hotel and called Fairmont staff for assistance thinking she was drunk. Staffers, realizing the woman was unconscious, then called for medical aid.
A San Francisco Fire Department spokesperson told TMZ that it responded to the hotel just before 3 a.m. for a reported medical emergency. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased cannot be confirmed until the San Francisco Office of the Medical Examiner completes its investigation.
Sources have told TMZ, the Daily Mail and other outlets that the decedent is Ms. Jones.
A police source told San Jose’s KNTV that foul play is not suspected in the incident.
While the exact cause of death will be revealed by only the medical examiner’s office, dispatch audio obtained by People magazine referenced “code 3 for the overdose, color change.” The color change refers to discoloration caused by a lack of oxygen.
“We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation,” the hotel said, according to KNTV.
Ms. Jones had acting experience — appearing in 2002’s “Men in Black II” as a child alongside her father as well as in 2005’s “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada,” which Mr. Jones directed.
