Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will return from his dislocated left elbow injury in March to participate in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic tournament in Saudi Arabia in March, organizers announced Tuesday.

Daniels joins a star-studded lineup for the event in Riyadh. Retired quarterback Tom Brady will play in the showcase along with Cleveland Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett, Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and San Francisco 49ers halfback Christian McCaffrey.

The organizers plan to announce additional participating players in the coming months.

Three coaches — Kyle Shanahan of the 49ers, Sean Payton of the Denver Broncos and Pete Carroll, recently fired by the Las Vegas Raiders — will lead the players in the round-robin tournament.

The first-of-its-kind event is a de facto warmup for the 2028 Olympics.

Flag football will make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles Games. NFL officials have thrown their weight behind football’s noncontact cousin, and the league’s owners approved a measure last offseason to let their stars represent their country on the Olympic stage.

The Fanatics Flag Football Classic is slated to occur at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena on March 21. A broadcast will appear on Tubi and Fox Sports, hosted by comedian Kevin Hart.
