OPINION:
The core of Judeo-Christian morality is “Thou shalt not bear false witness.”
By contrast, Islamists believe in taqiyya, meaning they can lie when dealing with nonbelievers. Deceiving the infidel for the purpose of gaining an advantage is respected and expected.
Taqiyya is enshrined in the Quran. In 622, the Prophet Muhammad found shelter among the Quraysh Jews after being rejected in Mecca. They signed the Constitution of Medina, ensuring cooperation and laying the foundation for a Muslim community. In 629, Muhammad turned on the Jews. He directed the decapitation of the men and took 1,000 girls and women as slaves.
Radical Islam is waging war against the West. Anything once Muslim is Muslim forever. Infidels are dhimmi, or subordinates to be conquered.
America’s negotiating with Iran is largely a waste of time. Anything the ayatollahs agree to is a hoax, whether it relates to weapons development or the slaughter of their own people. So long as the current rulers are in power, taqiyya is in play.
