A D.C. Public Schools employee is facing federal charges after being accused by prosecutors of distributing child pornography.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia alleges that Dandre Eric Davis, 31, messaged someone on an online dating app starting on Jan. 12, calling himself a “kinky perv” who was interested in children between 7 and 15 years old.
Prosecutors accuse Mr. Davis of moving the messaging to the Telegram app, then sending “two videos depicting sexual acts involving prepubescent boys.”
The other party in the messages was an undercover officer, according to Washington’s WUSA-TV.
The FBI told WTTG-TV that the phone number and image used by Mr. Davis were matched to him.
Mr. Davis worked at Luke C. Moore Opportunity Academy, an alternative public high school in Northeast, prosecutors said.
In a letter to families, Principal Rodney Wormsley said, “Our team has been made aware that a Luke C. Moore staff member was recently arrested in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation. … The staff member is out of the building on leave and will not report to school while this matter is under review. … DCPS has received no information at this time indicating that any Luke C. Moore students are involved.”
