Virginians were really mad at President Trump, and they were going to show him. So they voted for a socialist (or is it fascist?) ticket, including a lieutenant governor, attorney general and a delegate ratio of 64:36 Democrat to Republican.

That’s a supermajority, nearly impossible to balance, and we saw from Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s executive orders on her first day in office what that means for Virginia’s next four years.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s Order 47 directed the Virginia State Police and the Virginia Department of Corrections to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in capturing and holding illegal aliens convicted of child rape, murder and other crimes, whether they were incarcerated or roaming free.

On Day 1 of her administration, Ms. Spanberger rescinded that order and, in that instant, transferred the threat of peril from illegal alien criminals to legal residents of Virginia. Welcome to the Democratic Party and blue state Virginia.

This means that for the next four years, Virginia is all in on the biggest gamble of its existence. Who needs a Richmond casino now that we have the Spanberger wager on the table?

Any bets that the Democrats will legislatively dump a Virginia tradition and change the one-term governor to two or more terms?
