The producer of “Melania” is challenging claims by filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson and musician Jonny Greenwood that the score of their movie “Phantom Thread” was used without permission in the documentary about first lady Melania Trump.
Producer Marc Beckman says he was given legal permission to use every piece of music from the film in the documentary, multiple news outlets report.
Mr. Anderson and Mr. Greenwood said the use of “Phantom Thread”’s score breached Mr. Greenwood’s composer agreement with Universal Pictures.
“Melania,” directed by Brett Ratner, focuses on the first lady’s activities in the 20 days leading up to the second inauguration of President Trump.
