Filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson and Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood are calling for the removal of their music for “Phantom Thread” from the documentary “Melania,” multiple news outlets report.

Mr. Anderson and Mr. Greenwood say their music for the Oscar-winning film was used without their permission in violation of their composer agreement with Universal Pictures.

They said in a joint statement that they believe third parties should have required their input.

Universal and the makers of “Melania,” directed by Brett Ratner, have declined to comment.

“Melania” documents first lady Melania Trump’s activities during the 20 days leading up to President Trump’s second inauguration.
