OPINION:
James Carville — the declared political genius who helped elevate the Clinton presidential campaign decades ago with the insight “It’s the economy, stupid” — is still at it, forecasting the future as if he were an endless fount of wisdom.
His latest is that after midterms, Democrats will immediately begin to prosecute the extended Trump family. Who knows what offenses the Democrats will conjure up to go after the family next?
They have no imaginative, helpful policy initiatives, so they distract the public with useless stuff that will make voters think they are doing something worthwhile.
It’s always about the economy. Just ask those who have worn holes in the bottoms of their pockets looking for a few coins with which to buy groceries, shoes for the little ones and a house payment.
Were it not for the excessive spending of both parties, we would all be a lot better off.
