Just like any other reasonable American, I welcome legal immigrants who love the United States.

It should be a matter of common sense to welcome to our home only those guests who have respect for us and our culture. It breaks my heart when I see people who come here illegally for welfare benefits, without any love or respect for our country.

I am a Muslim by birth, and I can tell you that those who believe in Shariah do not love the United States. Shariah is based on a religious book. Does anyone really think that those who consider music haram (forbidden) love the U.S.? I don’t.

As most people in the U.S. are Christian, anybody who wants to immigrate here should have love or at least respect for the religion, as well as a love of American culture and values. Immigrants who advocate for the implementation of Shariah or who are always looking for halal food do not have a positive perspective about American culture.

I have asked many of those people a simple question: Why did they move to the U.S. if they hate it?

Many of them have told me that it’s for the “free stuff.”

So they have been trying to drain the economy, and they are effectively plundering our wealth by wiring money to their home countries.

Some of them even consider the United States to be the oppressor.

I am not against any American or even a visitor constructively criticizing American policy or actions, but that’s not what many Muslim immigrants are doing.

If they had the opportunity, they would surely elect Shariah supporters and happily see Shariah established in the U.S., just as we have seen in Texas.
