OPINION:
Yesterday, your front page article “Children at center of strategy to reverse same-sex marriage” said that “most Americans support same- sex marriage.” Ask Everett Piper or Cal Thomas whether this is true.
I suspect they will tell you it is not, or that people simply tolerate homosexual marriage because it has been forced on us by the Supreme Court and Democratic Party activists such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom. He independently implemented same-sex marriage in California, resulting in that state’s Proposition 8, which made it unconstitutional in 2008.
In fact, ask anyone whether they believe any of the following Democratic Party initiatives are good and healthy, and more often than not, I’ll bet you they will disagree: gender confusion; sexual immorality; fetal homicide; racism against non-Blacks; sexism against men; single motherhood or LGBTQ couples as the preferred family unit; open borders; expanded access to and use of addictive, mood-altering chemicals; public school teachers over student outcomes; pornography as fine art or literature; public labor unions negotiating against taxpayers; voting without photo identification; wealth redistribution; overt hate for those with whom one disagrees; and diligent antagonism against God and religions trying to honor and obey him.
In summary, Americans tend to live and let live while striving to follow the law, even when it is wrong. Just because they tolerate evil doesn’t mean they support it.
