OPINION:
Democrat senators, during a recent Finance Committee hearing to discuss vaccines, staff changes at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other stuff related to Americans’ health, hammered away at Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy with angry vitriol, calling him a “charlatan,” characterizing him as unfit for the office and demanding he resign.
Combative? At least.
Days later, the spittle from these Democrats’ mouths has yet to settle.
We haven’t seen Democrats this angry since Donald Trump won the White House — and then won again — and won yet again. (See what I did there?)
Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon said Kennedy shouldn’t be “within a million miles of this job.” Sen. Maria Cantrell of Washington called him a “charlatan.” Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts accused him [falsely] of “taking away vaccines” from people. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont accused Kennedy of booting millions off Medicaid — without mentioning those booted never should have been given the health benefit in the first place — and of opening the doors to mass death and mayhem, and more.
Sanders: “What I find a little bit weird … is we’ve got the the entire medical community on one side — we’ve got the AMA [American Medical Association], representing hundreds of thousands of doctors, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Public Health Association, all of these organizations are telling us that Covid vaccines and vaccines in general are safe and effective. You are casting doubt on that. Who are your scientific — who are the organizations that are agreeing with you?”
Kennedy: “The primary advisers are Marty Makary, Jay Bhattacharya, Dr. Oz” — meaning, the U.S. Commissioner of Food and Drugs; the director of the National Institutes of Health; and the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Sanders: “So you got a few doctors who agree with you,” Sanders said. He later added, “You are giving the names of a few people. I am giving you the names of organizations representing hundreds of thousands of doctors and scientists.”
This is the problem.
This is the problem with the Democrat Party and their defense of the health bureaucracies. America is a nation of individualism, not collectivism. And Americans need only go back in time a few years to see collectivism at work — to see where the mindset of socialist Sanders, as implemented throughout government, would lead.
Never forget. Never again.
Americans suffered massive infringements of God-given rights and liberties during the Covid years, largely at the pressing of health bureaucrats who insisted on blind obedience to their ever-changing, ever-shifting, quasi-scientific, pseudoscientific advisements, recommendations and decrees. Get the shot. Wear the face mask. Wear two face masks. Separate from each other by, oh, umm, let’s see — six feet! Yes, six feet sounds good.
Stay home from work. Stay out of parks. Stay off the beach. Stay away from school. Stay off public transportation — unless you’re wearing face masks, you and your little 2-year-old toddlers, too.
Stay home from church — for God’s sake, stay home from church! And if you do go to church, do not, under any circumstances, sing.
Get the shot. Get the other shot. Get the next shot. Get all the shots that are recommended — and if you don’t get the shots that are recommended, that’s fine; America allows for freedom and choice and personal medical determinations. But if you don’t get the shots, all of ‘em, every single last one of them, you can’t come to work; you can’t attend concerts in New York City; you can’t go to amusement parks without face masking; you can’t go out to eat. And you certainly can’t serve in the military. Show me zee papahs, comrade!
America came ThisClose to instituting a vaccine passport, followed quickly by a China-like social credit system.
And America would have gone the path of forced injections, forced emergency use authorizations, forced stay-at-home orders forever, had Trump not won. Another White House term of another Democrat — another Congress controlled by Democrats — and American liberty, as we know it, would have been choked forever. The Great Reset, as pushed by the China-fawning, communist-loving Great Resetters at the World Health Organization, where a globalist dream-come-true pandemic treaty was coincidentally in stand-by status, would have claimed their final win: America.
The light of liberty to the world would have been extinguished.
Kennedy came as a clean-up to the unscientific science that’s corrupted our medical organizations for years. And just like any clean-up of corrupt organizations goes, those who benefit from the corruption hate the clean-up process.
Sanders blasts Kennedy for daring to confront the behemoths of bureaucracy at the AMA, at the American Academy of Pediatrics, at the American Public Health Association — the very same organizations that want it believed that boys can become girls and girls can become boys and pronouns are meaningless and kids can be cats if only they learn to properly meow.
Enough said.
Or, as Kennedy put it: “Science has been co-opted by the pharmaceuticals.”
These organizations have been co-opted by Big Pharma and politics and special agendas and shady influences.
That’s why Americans voted for Trump — to clean up the corruption. That’s why Trump brought in Kennedy — to clean up the medical corruption and Make America Healthy Again. Less lobby money in medicine; more truthful science that does no harm. Kennedy, like Trump, is truly a hero to the cause of freedom.
Those who are screaming loudest against Kennedy’s efforts are only outing themselves as players in the corrupt system.
