Republicans are dissatisfied with the direction of the country when it comes to violence and crime and the state of national unity — but those who self-identify as political independents, even more so, according to recent rankings by Gallup.

And Democrats?

Apparently, they weren’t dissatisfied enough to warrant mention as a separate group. That figures. Democrats are the ones creating the violence and disunity. They’re busily patting themselves on the back for “jobs well done” while sending their voice boxes into the national media fray to denounce the White House’s activation of the National Guard in Portland, Oregon.

But for the rest of America?

“Americans’ responses to Gallup’s monthly questions probing the ’most important problem facing the country’ suggest that [Charlie] Kirk’s slaying is reverberating with Americans, particularly Republicans. Mentions of crime of violence have more than doubled over the past month, rising from 3 percent in August to 8 percent in September,” Gallup wrote.

“National unity has also increased as a concern, cited by 10 percent of Americans, up from 5 percent in August,” Gallup wrote.

“Compared with August, mentions of crime or violence [as top concern] have increased most sharply among Republicans, rising from 6 percent to 14 percent, while increased concern about unifying the country has been most pronounced among independents, rising from. 5 percent to 13 percent,” Gallup wrote.

Democrats, meanwhile, continue to express dismay with the quality and numbers of bricks their Marxist funders have been providing their antifa minions. Apparently, these bricks have been bouncing off police cruiser windshields, rather than shattering them. And Democrats are longing for the good ol’ days of George Floyd protests and Black Lives Matter times when riots were riots and bricks, by God, weren’t so weakened with too much water.

“The best water-to-cement ratio is between point-four-oh and point-six-oh. Why can’t we get back to basics on this?” one Open Society Foundation funder was heard muttering this week in Portland.

Indeed.

Indubitably.

All this — while President Donald Trump’s approval ratings in Gallup remain at 40 percent, despite the growing frustrations of Republicans and independents over national unity and violent crime — and that’s likely because more Americans than not know that it’s Democrats who are causing the violence and division.

Democrats might want to get with the program and realize antifa members, while handy in the streets, are not exactly the voting type. In other words: Catering to the lowest elements of society does not resonate well at the voting box.

If Democrats continue to coddle criminals, Republicans will be enjoying positions of political power for years to come. That’s not exactly a bad thing for America, either.
