As a species, professional politicians are principally lickspittle sycophants, taking a knee to their party superiors for years to gain seniority on the greasy pole of what they call achievement (“Kamala Harris’ pathetic book ‘107 Days’: Petty, vindictive and, frankly, just sad,” Web, Sept. 24).

Most voters are simply engaged in the daily struggles of family and employment and care little for what self-serving politicians do on a daily basis. Kamala Harris is the quintessential example of the species, ducking blame for every self-generated mistake and casting responsibility for her troubles onto others. She is a creature of identity politics and was the most inept major party national candidate I have seen in a long life of observing the species.

No surprise that her book has as much insight and honesty as her former boss, the egregious Joe Biden.
