OPINION:
The death of Charlie Kirk is the product of the arrogant attempt at social change between two ideologies: Christianity and secularism.
The Founding Fathers based our Constitution on Christian values that continue to be under attack in this country, and the Biden administration only accelerated the conflict. I wonder whether voters understand what secular really means (the absence of religious principles). For example, they tried to rewrite 2,000 years of the history of humanity, claiming there are more than two genders. Fortunately, voters rebuked those efforts with the 2024 election.
In the past year, we have seen an increasing number of violent, angry actions that come not from Christian beliefs but secular ones. The Democrats tried to force voters to embrace and adopt these beliefs by flooding our judicial, economic, scientific and educational institutions with them, and by using social media and the rest of the internet to drive this narrative.
Maybe this is why there is no compassion or sympathy for victims of violence from Democratic public officials. How else can we explain people celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk and encouraging children to celebrate? Far-left ideology appears so pervasive in the Democratic Party that moderates are afraid to denounce it.
As a youth counselor, I am seeing fewer children attend religious services. This is how secularism spreads.
A recent poll showed Democratic liberals believed that killing someone because they held a different opinion from you was justified. What does this say about our society? I thought we learned our horrific lesson with the murder of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and had moved away from killing someone because of a difference of opinion.
