No. 13 Ole Miss will play host to No. 4 LSU on Saturday, and more is at stake than football. Try love, with Rebel coach Lane Kiffin’s daughter, Landry, dating Tigers linebacker Whit Weeks.
The younger Kiffin confirmed the relationship this week, posting a photo of her sitting in Weeks’ lap to Instagram with the caption “happy :).”
The linebacker later reposted the photo to his Instagram story.
Ole Miss’ 50-year-old coach responded to an X user pointing out the relationship on Monday night.
“Take the over,” the elder Kiffin wrote on X, referring to the betting line for points in the upcoming game. The over is currently set at 54.5 points. The Rebels are home underdogs, with the Tigers favored by 1.5 points.
While his tone was unclear, gamblers on social media said they’ll take the coach’s tip.
“Brb bout to mortgage the house for LSUvMISS o54.5,” football fan Hunter Schuler wrote on X.
Others were more cynical.
“Sounds like inside betting info based on collusion between a coach and an opposing defensive player,” one X user wrote.
Saturday’s game is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on ABC.
