OPINION:
Bill Maher of HBO “Real Time” fame said during a recent broadcast that “the left does have this bad attitude of ‘go no contact’” — meaning, the left tends to shun and condemn and moreover call for the shunning and condemnation of those who fail to go along with the preferred Democrat narrative. He made the remarks in context of discussing the fact that the Emmys wrapped with nary a mention of Charlie Kirk. And he didn’t say, but this is the same Emmys that included one actress’ call to “F—- ICE and free Palestine!” Hmm. Priorities, meet the left.
Maher makes a good point. But it’s understated. This is more than a “bad attitude.” This is a condition of a sick, sinful, black heart.
Democrats may insist they are tolerant and welcoming of all diverse views and lifestyles. The truth is, however, they’re only tolerant and welcoming of those views and lifestyles they agree with — the ones that are generally ungodly, rebellious of traditional society and absent of morality and virtue. The more chaotic, the better. The more unlawful, the more welcome. The more antisemitic, the more cheered.
The more fleshly, the most embraced.
As for those who speak against the chaos, the unlawfulness, the antisemitism, the fleshly and immoral? Destroy them. Shut them down, shut them up and shut them out of all of society. That’s today’s call of the left.
Some, like Maher, may call that a “bad attitude.”
But it’s really a wicked spirit.
It’s really a sign of mind that’s been infected with demonic influences.
And lately, it’s shown itself during the memorials of assassinated Christian apologist and conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The blackout of his mention at the Emmys is a silence that speaks volumes.
As Maher noted: “At the Emmys would it have killed someone to get up there — since they all want to talk about their politics — would it have killed somebody to get up there — not give a speech how much they liked Charlie Kirk [but] just to say, ‘we had a political assassination this week and that’s wrong.’ They would have been booed off the stage because he was on the wrong team. So you’re not even allowed to say that.”
No. No, it wouldn’t have killed anyone. In fact, it would’ve shown a solidarity against evil — it would’ve sent a unifying message to the nation, to the world, that no matter one’s politics, regardless of one’s faith, despite one’s beliefs, that assassination is not an option and murder is not a viable form of dissent. It would’ve marked a moment in time, brief as it may have been, but nonetheless a real moment in time when those of all walks of life could have taken a time-out to reflect on an evil act, and to wonder why, and to wonder, perhaps, if there might be a better way; and if so, to self-reflect and readjust accordingly to achieve that better way.
It could have been a pivot point toward a greater good.
But Democrats can’t even do that. Leftists can’t even suffer that amount of compassion or sympathy. What a pity. Kirk, meanwhile, is emerging, in his death, as one of God’s assayers — as a tester or examiner of the condition of the hearts and true spiritual conditions of the people. Pay attention to the words and silences of the Democrats.
Much is being revealed about the truly evil nature of the left.
