Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark doesn’t seem to regret her recent comments on the WNBA’s officiating, even after the league fined her $200.

After Indiana’s Game 2 win over the Atlanta Dream in their first-round playoff series, the 2024 Rookie of the Year wrote on Instagram, “Refs couldn’t stop us.”

She confirmed Saturday that the comment elicited a minor fine from the league office.

“Got fined $200 for this lol,” she wrote on X, along with a series of laughing emojis. “BENCH MOB WILL BE EVEN MORE ROWDY TOMORROW LETS GOO!!!!!”

The biggest star in the WNBA didn’t get any sympathy from her teammates for the financial strain. Though her WNBA salary doesn’t clear six figures, Clark has major endorsement deals with brands like Gatorade, Nike and State Farm.

“That’s gonna break the bank for her,” teammate Sophie Cunningham wrote facetiously on X. “Starting a GoFundMe now!”

Clark has missed most of the season with a groin injury. She is not expected to return during the Fever’s postseason run, which continues on Sunday with a series-opening game against the Las Vegas Aces and newly crowned MVP A’ja Wilson.
