OPINION:
Where is the outrage from the mainstream media over the potential for having a proclaimed socialist for mayor of New York City? Where is the outrage about the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk? Where is the outrage about a mayor of Chicago who finds it easier to stay in office by ignoring the violence in his city than allowing the president to do something about it?
The answer: There is none. There is similarly no anger from the mainstream media about a government shutdown that is the action of a determined Democratic Party to roll back the hard-won victory of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which benefits all Americans and does not provide medical benefits to illegals, one of the reasons for the shutdown.
The Democrats lost the 2024 presidential election and have taken this shutdown avenue in an attempt to reverse the consequences of that loss.
Meanwhile, the mainstream media seem to care not at all about the current revelation that the Biden administration illegally had the FBI conduct surveillance of eight or more U.S. senators. It would be more productive to look at the emails and phone calls of leftist and mainstream media moguls and editors; that would reveal their glaring political bias toward and hatred of conservative Americans.
We rely heavily on the information we get from the news media to make decisions about everyday issues, so it is imperative that the press report with integrity, not glaring bias. Which is the greater crime: inciting a riot or movement with incendiary lies and propaganda, or being the one who actually throws a bomb through a window, ransacks a store or pulls a trigger, killing a police officer or a popular conservative?
Law-abiding and conservative Americans, this is Houston. Stand by.
