OPINION:
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s hatred for President Trump is over the top (“Illinois Gov. Pritzker condemns Trump’s immigration crackdown amid rising tensions in Chicago,” Web, Oct. 5). He would sooner cut off his nose to spite his face than accept desperately needed help to protect Chicagoans and reduce crime.
Those in affected areas are begging for help, but Mr. Pritzker simply ignores their pleas; he couldn’t care less about victims. Instead, he continues to incite violence against U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement agents as rioting spirals out of control.
When the political left doesn’t get its way, it resorts to violence, and we need look no further than Chicago to watch it all play out.
In the meantime, I hope Mr. Pritzker is thoroughly investigated for any ties to and funding of antifa. With the possibility of his staging a 2028 presidential run, there is no doubt the governor is kowtowing to the Democratic Socialists of America.
