The Democratic nominee for Virginia attorney general, Jay Jones, fantasized about shooting former state House Speaker Todd Gilbert, a Republican, in the head with two bullets and murdering his two children, whom he called “little fascists.”

“I will go to their funerals to piss on their graves,” Mr. Jones wrote in a text message to a fellow state legislator. He doubled down by saying, “Only when people feel pain personally do they move on to policy.”

Despite calls from Republican lawmakers and President Trump, who has survived two assassination attempts, for Mr. Jones to drop out of the race, not one elected Democrat has publicly urged Mr. Jones to abandon his bid. No Democrat has even withdrawn their endorsement of the man. In Mr. Jones’ first statement since the text messages were leaked, he mentioned Mr. Trump’s name three times but never uttered the words, “I’m sorry, Todd Gilbert.”

I’m beginning to believe Democrats aren’t as horrified by political violence as they claim to be, that they actually view violence as a tool to accomplish their revolution in American society.

A day after law enforcement officers from the Department of Homeland Security were attacked by domestic terrorists in Chicago, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, a Democrat, went on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday to tell the Trump administration to “get out of Chicago” because it was making the city a “war zone.”

On Saturday, the Homeland Security Department said officers fired “defensive shots” at an armed U.S. citizen after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were rammed and boxed in by 10 vehicles near Chicago. The armed citizen allegedly was doxing agents and had previously posted online, “Hey to all my gang let’s f—- those motherf——— up, don’t let them take anyone.”

An internal dispatch obtained by Fox News revealed that Chicago police officers were ordered by their chief of patrol not to respond after Border Patrol agents called for help.

Two weeks ago, a deranged assassin fired bullets at a Dallas ICE facility, killing two detainees. He reportedly watched videos of Charlie Kirk’s assassination and emulated the attack, hiding on a nearby rooftop with a sniper. His bullet casings read: “ANTI ICE.”

“Our intelligence indicates that these people are organized, they’re getting more and more people on their team, as far as attacking officers, and they’re making plans to ambush them and to kill them,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem told Fox News on Sunday of the 1,000% increase in assaults on Border Patrol and ICE agents. “We have specific officers and agents that have bounties that have been put out on their heads. It’s about $2,000 to kidnap them, $10,000 to kill them.”

Mr. Pritzker casually retorted, “The secretary doesn’t know what she’s talking about,” and added with delight that Chicagoans were “booing her on the street.” He called the entire ICE ramming incident “propaganda.”

Perhaps the most shocking legalization of Democratic left-wing terrorism was Friday. A Biden-appointed judge, Deborah Boardman, spent hours justifying a sentence of just eight years, 22 years less than the 30 recommended by prosecutors, to the man who attempted to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh.

Nicholas Roske, Mr. Kavanaugh’s would-be assassin, now says he goes by the name Sophie. Mr. Roske never legally changed his name, but his defense counsel referred to him as “Ms. Roske” in legal filings out of “respect.”

This apparently moved Judge Boardman.

“Ms. Roske came out to herself as transgender in 2020 but kept it secret. Ms. Roske’s sister came out as gay two years prior, but Ms. Roske saw that their parents struggled to reconcile her sexuality with their religious beliefs,” Judge Boardman said in her two-hour-long speech defending the sentencing. “I am heartened that this terrible infraction has helped the Roske family … accept their daughter for who she is.”

Mr. Roske’s mother, Colleen, was at the sentencing, where she told Judge Boardman: “I have attended PFLAG meetings and learned about the LGBTQ+ community. I am committed to going on this journey with Sophie. … She was frustrated with what was going on in the world, and we weren’t a safe place to process it.”

Prosecutors argued that Mr. Roske had planned to assassinate up to three Supreme Court justices after the leaked decision overturning Roe v. Wade. They said he had researched their addresses, conducted online reconnaissance on them and purchased “the instrumentalities needed to break into a home and commit murder.”

Judge Boardman said she factored into the sentence her concern about Mr. Trump’s executive order requiring transgender inmates to be detained in prisons that correspond with their sex at birth and banning gender-affirming care for federal inmates.

In other words, people who identify as transgender will be legally exempt from regular prison terms and terrorism enhancements because of their sexual proclivities. Never mind that their violence is almost exclusively targeted at the pro-life, Christian community.

“Maryland U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman — a Biden appointee — is a national disgrace,” Mike Davis, a conservative lawyer and strategist and former chief counsel for nominations to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley, wrote Friday on X. “She only sentenced to 8 years, instead of 30, someone who attempted to murder Justice Kavanaugh and his family in their home. Make no mistake: Today’s Democrats want conservatives killed.”

Yes, yes, they do.
