The Republican Attorneys General Association just called on the Democratic Attorneys General Association to stop supporting Jay Jones for attorney general for Virginia. That’s because Jones has been outed for his fantasies of putting bullets into the head of a political opponent, the former House speaker, Todd Gilbert, and of hoping his two children would die.

That Jones didn’t voluntarily step aside after the convicting messages were made public speaks oodles about the Democrat Party. It tells of a party that’s so enamored with power, control and selfish ambition that its members are A-OK with violence to the point of murder, so long as the ends are achieved.

Ask Charlie Kirk how far the left is willing to go.

Ask a police officer — an ICE agent — a MAGA-hat wearer walking a Democrat-controlled city street. They’ll all say the same — that the left not only emboldens, but embraces, political violence. They’ll all tell the same story — that the left is an active participant in violence-in-politics.

This is what Jones said about Gilbert in a 2022 text to another member of the House of Delegates: “Three people, two bullets. Gilbert, Hitler and Pol Pot. Gilbert gets two bullets to the head.” He also added, “Spoiler: put Gilbert in the crew with the two worst people you know and he receives both bullets every time.”

The text recipient responded to Jones at one point by mentioning Gilbert’s wife, Jennifer, and how “you were also talking about hopping [hoping] Jennifer Gilbert’s children would die.” To that, Jones texted, “Yes. I’ve told you this before. Only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy.”

Think about that astonishing admission.

The candidate for the highest law enforcement official in Virginia not only fantasizes about murdering one of his political opponents and their children, but also believes in murder as a viable political strategy. “Only when people feel pain personally” — he said. How words. Founding Fathers would be shocked to know that the nation they forged, built as it was on God-given individualism and a model of governance that set politicians as public servants of the people — that this nation had turned down such a dark path where politicians became so comfortable with their offices and so entitled to their positions they thought nothing of inflicting pain on their — what, peon class? — voting public.

It’s a lie to say that Republicans and Democrats both use violence for political means.

Republicans abhor it and call it out and attempt to put a stop to it. Democrats?

Well — there’s this X message from White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller that says it all: “The one thing you haven’t heard from Democrats in the midst of all their raving histrionics: telling their radical base to stop violently assaulting ICE agents. The doxing, murder threats and violent attacks re soaring. Just days ago a sniper tried to assassinate multiple ICE agents. Two vehicle ramming attacks in one day. The list is endless. But instead of condemning violence, they claim the domestic terrorism is ’provoked’ by the mere presence of federal officials, adoring [adopting] the more frame and language of the paid insurrectionists.”

Circuit Court Judge Diane Schafer Goodstein, who ruled against the Department of Justice’s request for release of the South Carolina state voter database, lost her home in an explosion that also injured at least three, and now law enforcement officials are investigating for arson.

If this explosion was caused by a MAGA-loving arsonist acting in revenge for the judge’s ruling, better believe the GOP, MAGA, conservatives and patriots who lean right will condemn the act and demand harsh consequences for the perpetrator.

But if the political affiliations were the other way around and the case ruling went against a Democrat administration and as such, angered the leftists of the nation? Blowing up a Republican-appointed judge’s home would make the evening news. But Democrats wouldn’t be so quick to condemn. They might even use the act of violence to chastise MAGA for creating a divisive atmosphere that led to the act of savagery. They might even suggest MAGA brought this is on themselves, and the judge, in a way, sort of, kind of, almost kind of, when you think about it — really, actually deserved it.

Republicans dream of America. Democrats dream of murder.

That’s the difference between today’s two main political parties.
