A potential terrorist attack in Michigan was prevented early Friday, the FBI said.

Multiple people were arrested who were allegedly plotting an attack over the Halloween weekend, FBI Director Kash Patel said in a post on social media.

“Thanks to the men and women of FBI and law enforcement everywhere standing guard 24/7 and crushing our mission to defend the homeland,” he wrote.

Multiple young people were arrested who were allegedly connected to some form of foreign extremism, according to reports.

The Dearborn Police Department said it was made aware that the FBI conducted operations in the city.

Members of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force were photographed outside a home in Dearborn, Michigan, on Friday morning.

“We want to assure our residents that there is no threat to the community at this time,” the department said on Facebook.

This comes after the FBI said it arrested a man in May who had spent months planning an Islamic State-affiliated attack against a U.S. Army site in suburban Detroit. Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed Said, 19, remains in custody, charged with attempting to provide support to a terrorist organization.
