Chelsea O’Donnell, 28, one of the adopted children of actress Rosie O’Donnell, is facing prison time in Wisconsin for violating the terms of her probation.

The younger Ms. O’Donnell pleaded guilty to various drug charges in three separate cases last fall and was sentenced to a total of six years of probation, according to court records. The terms of her probation included “absolute sobriety” and compliance with the terms of the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Program.

Marinette County is in northeastern Wisconsin, along the Canadian border.

The younger Ms. O’Donnell was terminated from the drug treatment program late last month. On Oct. 22, the court determined that Ms. O’Donnell would be going to prison, though the court records did not say how much jail time she’ll face or how she violated the terms of her probation.

An official from the drug court told Us Weekly that she was in violation over allegations of sexual assault.

On Instagram Wednesday, the older Ms. O’Donnell, now living in Ireland, wrote “my child chelsea belle - before addiction took over her life - i loved her then i love her now as she faces a scary future- prayers welcomed.”

The older Ms. O’Donnell also told People magazine, “I have compassion for those struggling with addiction - Chelsea was born into addiction and it has been a painful journey for her and her four young children. We continue to love and support her through these horrible times. Prayers welcomed.”
