The Israel Defense Forces said they killed a Hezbollah official who led efforts to rebuild the combat capabilities of the terror group following its defeat and leadership losses versus Israel

The victim was Abbas Hassan Karky, the logistics commander of Hezbollah’s southern front headquarters, hit by the IDF’s airstrike in southern Lebanon on Friday.

He was responsible for managing the transfer and storage of weapons and coordinating the reestablishment of a terror infrastructure south of the Litani River that had been dismantled during the war, IDF officials said.

“The terrorists’ activities constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF said in a statement, adding, “The IDF will continue to act to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel.”
