The status of the Washington Commanders’ battered receiver corps is trending upwards. Coach Dan Quinn said Tuesday that pass-catchers Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin would practice this week ahead of Monday’s game in Kansas City against the Chiefs.

McLaurin has missed four games with a quad injury. Samuel did not play in Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys due to a heel issue.

“The plan is to have full weeks of practice for them,” Quinn said on SiriusXM’s “Movin’ The Chains” podcast.

The practice strategy for quarterback Jayden Daniels is less clear. The second-year passer left the matchup with the Cowboys with a right hamstring injury. An MRI on Monday ruled out any severe or long-term issues, but his status for the Chiefs’ game is still up in the air.

The team will still be without wide receiver Noah Brown, who is on injured reserve with a groin injury. Defensive end Dorance Armstrong joined him on that last Tuesday after suffering a torn ACL in Sunday’s defeat.

The Commanders signed defensive end Jalyn Holmes, who they originally released last week, to fill Armstrong’s spot on the active roster.
