Democrats aren’t fit to be part of the political debate. How can you have a dialogue with a bunch of whiny brats? They don’t reason; they rave. Instead of making arguments, they hurl insults.

Former Rep. Katie Porter, a Democrat running for governor of California, should heed President Truman’s advice, “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.” Ms. Porter begins to wilt when the temperature hits 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

The candidate abruptly tried to end a recent interview on CBS News Sacramento because she didn’t like the questions.

The interviewer asked the former congresswoman how she planned to appeal to the 40% of Californians who voted for President Trump in 2024. Ms. Porter’s response — “How would I need them in order to win?” — implied that she had no interest in garnering the support of such reprobates.

When the interviewer persisted with a follow-up question, Ms. Porter snapped: “I don’t want to keep doing this. I’m going to call it.”

Ms. Porter is notorious for her temper tantrums. In a video conference call that recently surfaced, she is heard berating a staffer with “Get out of my f—-ing shot!” In 2006 divorce proceedings, her then-husband claimed she would regularly swear at him and once dumped a bowl of mashed potatoes on his head.

She is the leading Democrat in the race, although Freddy from “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is coming up fast on the outside.

Yet Ms. Porter is the Sweetheart of Sigma Chi compared with Jay Jones, the Democratic candidate for attorney general of Virginia. Mr. Jones is a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates whose text messages sound deranged. In a 2022 message, he wished death to a rival, Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert, a Republican.

Mr. Jones messaged that in a hypothetical situation in which he had a gun with two bullets and was confronted by Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot and Mr. Gilbert, he would choose to shoot Mr. Gilbert in the head twice.

In other texts, the candidate for the job of Virginia’s top cop said he wished Mr. Gilbert’s wife could see her children die so her husband would change his views on gun control.

While ritualistically decrying political violence, not one prominent Virginia Democrat has called on Mr. Jones to drop out of the race.

On Oct. 8, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, New York Democrat, had a bizarre exchange with Rep. Michael Lawler, New York Republican, over the government shutdown and the extension of Obamacare subsidies.

When Mr. Lawler asked Mr. Jeffries whether he was going to endorse New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, the leader of the Democratic Party in the House of Representatives lost it. “First of all, I don’t answer to you,” he snapped. “You don’t even answer to yourself.”

This is reminiscent of an exchange in the 2024 Biden-Trump debate, when Mr. Trump responded to a typically befuddled President Biden comment with: “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don’t think he knows what he said either.”

Later, Mr. Jeffries told Mr. Lawler: “So why don’t you just keep your mouth shut?”

How can you answer such a cogent argument? You can’t, because he just told you to shut up.

The Democratic Party is driven by rage and resentment. No wonder its leaders are drawn to political violence, such as the George Floyd riots, attacks on Tesla dealerships and antifa’s assault on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers from Chicago to Portland, Oregon.

Their rage reflects their impotence. Last year, they lost both houses of Congress and every swing state. Republicans also made significant gains with minority voters.

How can they reconcile this with their sense of entitlement? They are the enlightened ones; we are the great unwashed. To reject their wisdom is a sure sign of racism, misogyny, transphobia or a low IQ.

They hold us in the utmost contempt.

If we want to deport criminal aliens, it’s because we hate Hispanics. If we oppose gun confiscation, it’s because we think our phallic symbols are more important than the lives of children. If we don’t want to see boys in girls’ changing rooms, it’s because we’re “transphobic.” If we champion tax reform, we want the poor to suffer.

In reality, it’s about what they hate: families, limited government, the work ethic and Judeo-Christian civilization.

My advice to Democrats: Hold your breath until you get some self-control. Maybe, instead of turning blue, you will turn red, white and blue.
