It was a season to forget for the last-place Washington Nationals, but center fielder Jacob Young is still looking to bring home some hardware. He was named a Gold Glove finalist on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old joins Pete Crow-Armstrong of the Chicago Cubs and Victor Scott II of the St. Louis Cardinals as National League finalists.

The winners will be announced on Nov. 2.

This is the second straight season that Young was named as one of the top-three Gold Glove contenders. This year, he was one of three qualified major leaguers to record a perfect fielding percentage.

In 112 games, Young ranked second in FanGraphs’ defensive runs saved and defensive ratings metric. He was also third in Statcast’s outs above average and runs prevented ratings.

The speedy outfielder recorded a handful of highlight plays, including a pair of home run robberies against the Detroit Tigers and Cincinnati Reds in July and an acrobatic catch off his foot against the New York Mets last month.

Young was the only National named to the Gold Glove watchlist.
