OPINION:
The Democrats are continually hitting President Trump with lies, innuendo and propaganda and using a time-tested method to make it all stick. Take an outrageous lie, sprinkle with a little truth, continually tell it (with the help of the media), and eventually it will become their truth. It doesn’t matter how unbelievable.
They say Mr. Trump is a fascist, a Russian agent, Hitler and a threat to democracy. He doesn’t have the authority to deploy the National Guard, they say, and he can’t use the Department of Defense to blow the drug runners and tons of deadly narcotics out of the sea before they reach our shores. You must not obey his orders, and it’s your duty to resist, they tell the hordes.
And yes, they say Mr. Trump was responsible for shutting down the government.
All lies, but regrettably most Republicans appear more like reincarnations of Wile E. Coyote than capable defenders of the our president and his policies.
Republicans say Democrats have no leaders or vision, and their hatred for Mr. Trump is greater than their love of our nation. Au contraire — they have leaders and a vision, but if they articulated that vision, they would never win another election. Their party does not love our country; it appears hell-bent on destroying it. If you don’t believe it, listen to the venom they spew. Unlike our traditional American values, their core values appear to be lies, anger, hatred, envy, jealousy and obstruction. Listen to Mark Kelly and his gang — Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer — and you’ll see how they attempt to sabotage and disrupt.
To fight back, Republicans must stay focused on Democrats’ failures and the catastrophic mess they dumped on President Trump, and be vocal about his accomplishments. He has cut inflation in half, is restoring law and order and is deporting the worst of the worst. He always puts our citizens first.
