President Trump welcomed the Saudi crown prince with great fanfare. The Washington Times’ Tim Constantine and ForAmerica’s David Bozell ask — why is Saudi Arabia important? Does this visit to the U.S. matter, and if so, why?
The crown prince of Saudi Arabia is in town this week. And he and Trump sat down. Anytime you get a reception at the White House, it’s a good gig. It’s a big deal. The red carpet, all that. This is as big and as good as it gets. They had the red carpet waiting for the prince when he came. They had Oval Office meetings. They had a big black tie dinner. Then at the Kennedy Center, they had the meetings with all the business world. So this is two days worth of pageantry and substance.
