The new leader of the Democratic Party should be Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania for his commonsense approach.

The man has made a miraculous recovery from the stroke he suffered in 2022. He also deserves a standing ovation for refusing to take the bait and call President Trump a fascist during a recent interview with Katie Couric and for not caving to the demands from the left-wing extremists and Marxists in his party.

I wish Mr. Fetterman a speedy recovery from his fall last week and the heart flare-up that caused the fall-preceding lightheadedness. We need him and more like him in the Senate. Godspeed.
