OPINION:
The Republicans have said over and over during the government shutdown that the Democrats are holding the country hostage over health care benefits for illegals. As a former law enforcement officer and independent voter on a 100% disability, I have to ask: How is it that no one is being arrested for conspiring, colluding and extorting — and dare I say, committing acts of sedition to undermine — the Trump administration?
If a mafia don told his crew to kidnap a gas station owner, teacher or Joe Blow the ragman and hold them hostage until ransom money was received, it would be a crime. So what’s the difference between that and what politicians such as Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and their ilk are doing?
These Democratic “leaders” refused repeatedly to vote for the continuing resolution until their demands were met. I’ve certainly never read anywhere in the Constitution that committing criminal acts to get what you want is legal.
Theirs was an act of coercion: attempting to force the Republicans and taxpayers to pay for aliens who have broken our laws and infiltrated our country.
As someone trained by FBI agents in my career, I know that Director Kash Patel understands what the Democrats have done, and I want to know why charges are not being brought against these moblike politicians.
