OPINION:
When a person violates the border of a sovereign country, that activity is defined as an illegal entry. Media descriptions of illegal aliens as “migrants,” “immigrants” or “undocumented individuals” fail to make this distinction.
Terms like “trade partners” and “trade war” are being used to describe situations involving the institution of outsourcing labor and manufacturing. This scheme is better described as supply-side importing, not international trade.
The supply-side system is designed largely to replace American manufacturing and labor, using foreign laissez-faire resources.
Read the labels on almost everything we buy. The “war” being perpetrated is against the middle class and American economic independence and it’s being waged by our own international importers, which own many of our prominent news sources.
We all know what happens when a credit card is used and the holder doesn’t have enough money to repay the loan. Is this the kind of irresponsible national economic, outsourcing and importing policy that must not be changed so as to favor the multinational corporations that dominate our politics?
Entertainment and unabated spending by borrowing into the future are economic engines unsuitable for a preeminent nation. It’s a war against reality.
