OPINION:
Jen Psaki, the former mouthpiece for the Biden administration, suggested there was no “cover-up” of the ex-president’s mental incapacities, no, none at all, nobody knew, it was a huge surprise, a yuuuge surprise, to discover he couldn’t put on his jacket without assistance or walk on beach sand without high-stepping in special shoes or make his way off a stage without a map or complete a sentence that didn’t leave listeners utterly baffled. And just because he called on dead people to speak up or on paralyzed people to stand and take a bow — why, that’s nothing, Psaki said, nothing at all. Could happen to anyone. Happens to the best of us.
As liars go, she was one of the party’s greatest. Maybe not quite so shameless as Karine Jean-Pierre, but all in all, very talented. Eight stars out of 10.
And given all the liars in the Democrat Party making a public case now about how shocked — shocked! — they were to learn Biden was daft, to put it mildly, eight stars out of 10 is a very competitive rating.
When asked by podcast host Ben Smith if the Biden White House or their friends in the media “covered this up” — meaning, the president’s dwindling brain power — and deceived the world into believing he was fiddle-fit fine, Psaki said this, The Hill reported: “I think cover-up is such a loaded phrase.”
Well, yes. It’s a phrase that means basically what it says — that somebody, or a group of somebodies, pretended that something was not as it was, so as to deceive another group of somebodies. In a word: lied.
And the tell for Psaki — the sure sign that she was part of the cover-up — is that she didn’t give a straight answer when asked a simple, straightforward question.
The question: Was there a cover-up?
Psaki’s answer: I’m not going to answer the because I don’t want to be caught lying, so instead I’m going to dance around and mutter and distract and mumble for a while, hoping you don’t notice I didn’t answer the question, and then if you do notice, that you’ll be too polite — or tired — to press me further on the point.
She said it this way: “I think cover-up is such a loaded phrase. But … I left in May of 2022, just for the fact here, and I have seen Biden once since then, when I took my daughter to the holiday party this last December, after he had lost, and so I hadn’t seen him in person during that period of time. I never saw that person, not a single time — and I was in the Oval Office every day — that was on that debate stage. I’m not a doctor. Aging happens quite quickly.”
What?
If at first you don’t succeed — and Smith asked Psaki if she had ever heard from colleagues or former colleagues about a purposeful, politically motivated cover-up of Biden’s frazzled mental state.
Psaki, part two: “Cover-up is often like a crime, right? When people use that, they say it’s worse than the crime. People use that term as they relate to Watergate or the covering up or not sharing public information about a war. I think it’s a bit of a dangerous term. I don’t know. I have not talked to them [former colleagues].”
Hmm.
And for no particular reason at all, here’s a headline from an outlet called Forensics College: “Top 10 Signs That Someone Is Lying.” Among?
“One telltale sign someone may not be telling the whole truth is irregular speech,” the site reported. “On the flip side, researchers from Harvard Business School determined that liars trying to deceive [will] stretch the truth with too many words … may make up things as they go … may also tend to add excessive detail to convince themselves or others of what they are saying.”
Like telling about daughters and holiday parties and not being a doctor and wartime information instead of saying “no” when asked about a cover-up.
It’s entirely disingenuous for Democrats who worked daily with President Biden to pretend they didn’t know about his mental incompetence and that they purposely denied his mental incompetence in order to protect his presidency and the party’s political power.
The entire world watched Biden’s fumbles and knew. But those who worked within his inner circle did not? The media members who covered his presidency were clueless?
Cover-up is “often like a crime,” as Psaki said.
And just as everybody knew Biden was mentally unfit for the presidency, everybody knows the Democrats are guilty of the crime of the cover-up.
