OPINION:
Attending President Trump’s speech before a joint session of Congress this week, Democrats couldn’t bring themselves to clap for a young boy fighting cancer, who was made an honorary member of the U. S. Secret Service. They couldn’t clap when Trump promised to protect women’s sports or when he vowed to take down “revenge porn” and protect kids from gender ideology and body mutilation. Nor could they bring themselves to acknowledge the family members of children murdered by illegals who took advantage of President Biden’s lax border policies to enter the country illegally.
But the party of unlimited abortion and war did clap when the funding of Ukraine came up. Democrats want to keep the money — and the war — going rather than throw their support behind Trump’s strategy to bring peace to the region. And when the president spoke of ending waste, fraud and abuse in government? The party that laments America’s colonialist past remains committed to promoting its brand of cultural imperialism around the world by using our tax dollars to fund the LGTB and trans ideologies in other countries. Evidently, irony is lost on these people.
The moral compass of today’s Democratic Party has been reduced to messages on bingo paddles and mindless virtue signaling. Both may make them feel good but what they are promoting is evil.
