OPINION:
Watching the president’s address before Congress this week and the stoic pouting on the other side of the room, I was reminded me of silly, mean teenage girls doing what they do when they’re in their “packs” (“‘Breach of decorum’: Why Democrats are facing censure after Trump’s address,” Web, March 5). Perhaps we have too many girly girls (including a few men) in Congress.
It was a sorry display. The Democrats protesting the address wouldn’t even stand up for a child who had been through unbelievable scares, a deserving young man getting his chosen profession and following in the footsteps of his elders, young girls following their dreams or families missing their daughters and sisters, who were murdered by illegal immigrants.
Are any of these ridiculous Democrats mothers or fathers?
Those who sat during standing ovations, looking at their phones and rolling their eyes, pulled a silly, childish stunt, not at all deserving of the honor American voters have bestowed on them.
