Letter to the editor: Did Democrats forget FDR?

OPINION:

Liberal Democrats are crying, whining and protesting that no American president — especially and in particular their most-hated nemesis Donald Trump — should stand with a Russian thug like Vladimir Putin, even when trying to stop a brutal, costly and never-ending war from escalating into a world war (“Democrats: Putin ‘only winner’ from Trump-Zelenskyy public clash,” Web, March 2).
 
They have either forgotten or just never knew that FDR, a Democratic American president, and Winston Churchill both stood closely with Russian thug Joseph Stalin to win tWorld War II — and no Democrat complained.
 
Democrats have got to get over themselves and their dangerous Trump Derangement Syndrome for the good of their own country, if not conscience.
