U.S. District Judge James Boasberg is attempting to stop President Trump from removing members of the deadly gang Tren de Aragua from our country because Trump used the 1798 Aliens Enemies Act to justify getting rid of aliens who are a threat (“Appeals court upholds Judge Boasberg’s blockade on Venezuelan gang deportations,” Web, March 26).

Boasberg cited due process concerns as his reason, but the Due Process Clause applies to Americans, not illegal aliens, and Boasberg and other jurists siding with him are overstepping their authority here, something former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr confirmed in a recent interview.

As for the 1798 law that Democrats are whining is outdated, I guess they forgot that in 2017 then Vice President Biden got then President President Obama to use the Logan Act of 1799 during to undermine the newly elected Donald Trump prior to his being sworn in. The coconspirators succeeded in destroying retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn — and that brings me to the recent rant of Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, New York Democrat, on PBS.

In his tirade, Schumer blasted Trump for not doing anything about those Jew haters who burned down synagogues and temples, then said, “We are mobilizing in New York. We have people going to the Republican districts and going after these Republicans who are voting for this and forcing them to either change their vote or face the consequences.”

In Trump’s first term, Schumer claimed to have evidence that the president had colluded with Russia. He did not because there was none. Schumer broke the law by interfering and obstructing justice and should have been charged. Now, he is guilty of election interference and making threats and should be brought to justice.
