An armed man surrendered to law enforcement Wednesday after setting off an hourslong barricade at the CIA’s headquarters in Virginia.

Fairfax County police said the man, who wasn’t identified, was taken into custody at about 3:30 p.m. without incident.

Authorities didn’t say what charges the suspect may be facing at this time.

SWAT teams and police descended on the agency’s home base in Langley hours earlier after an armed man reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis ventured onto the federal property.

Police blocked off Dolley Madison Boulevard right outside the CIA headquarters as negotiators worked to bring the man into custody.

All lanes of traffic are now reopened.
