The Washington Commanders have agreed to re-sign another familiar face. Running back Jeremy McNichols, who occasionally filled in for starters Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler last season, agreed to a one-year contract.
The financial terms of the deal, which were first reported by NFL Network, were not disclosed on Tuesday.
With the return of McNichols and fellow backup Chris Rodriguez, the Commanders will carry over their entire running back room from the 2024 campaign.
McNichols, 29, had his most successful season as a professional last year. The Boise State product recorded a career-high 261 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
He also returned seven kickoffs for 164 yards while playing 46% of the Commanders’ special teams snaps.
