OPINION:
So Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has apologized to President Trump for his behavior at their recent White House meeting (“Trump envoy says Zelenskyy apologized to president for Oval Office dustup,” Web, March 10). Hallelujah. We knew Zelenskyy would regain his senses and come back groveling sooner or later after his disrespectful behavior in the Oval Office last month.
Zelenskyy knows Trump is his only hope in ending Ukraine’s three-year war with Russia. His apology is the first step in the right direction. As a successful businessman, Trump is experienced at deal making and the art of negotiation. And in no uncertain terms, he is the best. Zelensky is in good hands with our president.
