OPINION:
Zohran Mamdani is a Palestinian-loving, Israel-bashing Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement supporting, socialist-slash-Marxist-slash-communist who is now — thanks to an upset primary win against former governor Andrew Cuomo — the emerging Democrat Party candidate to beat in New York City’s mayoral contest. Oh, and he’s just been accused by Rep. Andy Ogles of embracing a group that has funneled money to Hamas. Oh, and Ogles has requested U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to denaturalize and deport Mamdani for his purported support for terrorism. Oh, and despite Mamdani’s pro-BDS, antisemitic views, he’s still being welcomed by top Jewish Democrat leaders, like Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Jerry Nadler.
Calling the Democrat Party. Hello? Is there anybody there?
Mamdani is a classic case-in-point of the “just when you thought the Democrats couldn’t go any lower, now comes this guy” line of thinking.
“According to public reports, including a June 21, 2025, New York Posts article, Mr. Mamdani expressed open solidarity with individuals convicted of terrorism-related offense prior to becoming a U.S. citizen. Specifically, he rapped: ‘Free the Holy Land Five / My guys,” Ogles wrote to Bondi, in a letter petitioning her to act.
As The Hill noted, five leaders for the Holy Land Foundation, a Muslim charity based in the United States, were convicted of funneling money to Hamas.
Ogles, in an X post, wrote: “Zohran ‘little muhammad’ Mamdani is an antisemitic, socialist, communist who will destroy the great city of New York. He needs to be DEPORTED. Which is why I am calling for him to be subject to denaturalization proceedings.”
So. There’s that.
But then there’s also this.
“Zohran Mamdani’s win in NYC is a boost for the boycott Israel movement,” The Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle wrote in one headline.
And this.
“‘First time a declared BDS supporter occupies City Hall,’ Arab media on NYC mayoral race,” The Jerusalem Post wrote. The story went on to state, “From Doha to Beirut, leading Arabic-language outlets have celebrated Zohran Mamdani’s upset victory in New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary as proof that public support for the Palestinian cause is reshaping US politics — and eroding what they describe as the ‘pro-Israel establishment.’”
It would seem Democrats who are also Jewish might rail against Mamdani.
But Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said this: “I have known Zohran Mamdani since we worked together to provide debate relief for thousands of beleaguered taxi drivers … He ran an impressive campaign that connected with New Yorkers about affordability, fairness & opportunity … [I look forward to] getting together soon.” And from The New York Times: “Mamdani Wins [Rep. Jerry] Nadler’s Endorsement as He Seeks to Unify Democrats.”
Talk about putting politics first.
Mamdani has vowed, if elected, to break with long-running city mayoral precedence and not visit Israel. He’s a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, which is to say he’s communist. His political platforms include freezing rent for more than two million residents; creating government grocery stores; providing “no-cost” childcare — meaning tax-payer funded childcare; taxing the heck out of corporations and businesses; hiking the minimum wage to $30 per hour; and implementing all the other usual and customary far left agendas and policies — giveaways, freebies, concessions to special interest groups, yada yada, that is to say, all the typical radicalized and anti-American leftist policies that bring destruction, not freedom.
Meet the Democrat Party.
It’s the Communist Party, in thin disguise.
And the new twist, courtesy Mamdani: It’s the openly anti-Israel party, the party of open antisemites.
“With Zohran’s triumph, we have a direct repudiation of Donald Trump’s politics of tax cuts and authoritarianism,” Nadler said, in his endorsement of Mamdani.
Trump Derangement Syndrome is so great, today’s Democrats would destroy all — American foundations, American freedoms, American capitalism, even their own faith and religion — so long as it destroys MAGA.
