OPINION:
CNN, USA Today, the Washington Post, the New York Times, MSNBC and others recently rushed the “news” to their followers that the U.S.’ B-2 attack on Iran’s nuclear sites was insignificant, basically a failure and that President Trump’s totally positive report was just typical over-blown bluster from a dangerous commander in chief (“Trump lashes out at media over scrutiny of Iran bombings’ success following intel reports,” Web, June 25).
Making our president and our military’s planning and execution look flawed was a treat too tasty and a tool too useful to the left’s agenda to wait for actual facts.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard announced that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spoke to his followers last Thursday, claiming victory over
Israel and saying ran had delivered “a hand slap to America’s face” and that the U.S. would “pay a heavy price” if it attacked Iran again. Then he claimed Mr. Trump had exaggerated the effects of the U.S. strike on Iran’s nuclear sites. All of this is useful to an agenda.
If a 6-year-old child is told that her personal behavior matched that of a recognized delinquent, the child will likely admit to being ashamed. However, the aforementioned collection of media adults have never succumbed to shame or remorse, no matter how many times their delinquent behavior of misinforming their followers is shown up for exactly what it is.
It is this Khamenei-ish trait that makes these members of the “media” a danger to our nation.
