Israel has launched strikes against Iran — but these are not so much preemptive strikes as they are reactive to long-running proxy and direct strikes by Iran against the Jewish people. Now the questions are: to what end? For what purpose? And what should be America’s involvement?

First off, Israel’s war is America’s war.

The chant from Iran’s terrorists has been and continues to be “Death to Israel, death to America” — and these are not idle chants, but actual promises and goals. Moreover, as the chant continues, it’s “death to the West.” Israel’s war is America’s war is the entire West’s war is civil society’s war.

Those who say this is not America’s war are wrong.

“Sometimes you have to take a stand against good versus evil,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on ABC News. “We’re fighting for freedom, our own survival, our own freedom, but also the freedom of everyone else.”

This is true.

This is not a case of enriching the pockets of the military industrial complex.

“Who are the warmongers? They would include anyone who’s calling Donald Trump today to demand air strikes and other direct US military involvement in a war with Iran,” former Fox News host Tucker Carlson wrote on social media platform X.

But Israel is different than other nations — and what would be rightly seen as warmongering for supporting military operations in other nations does not apply with Israel.

Israel is the nation that God created for His chosen people. And Israel is the nation of which God said he would bless those who bless and curse those who curse. Israel isn’t just America’s top ally in the Middle East region; Israel is the apple of God’s eye and the center of biblical prophecy.

If America wants to stay on God’s side, America should support Israel — to whatever extent that means.

But if the spiritual doesn’t convince, the pragmatic should.

“How close is Iran to getting a nuclear bomb?” DW, a media outlet in Germany, asked in one recent headline.

“The Iranian regime has consistently claimed its nuclear program is exclusively civilian in nature,” DW wrote.

Yeah, well. There is that.

Yet: “The International Atomic Energy Agency [says] Iran has accumulated more than 400 kilograms (881 pounds) of uranium enriched to 60 percent. That level of enrichment far exceeds what is needed for civilian energy production — and is close to weapons-grade material,” DW continued.

At 90 percent, the uranium becomes weapons-grade. With 881 pounds, Iran can develop about 10 nuclear warheads.

Look at the ballistic missiles Iran is unleashing on Israel right now — and now picture that with nuclear weaponry.

Iran has been increasing its missile tests at the same time, failing to comply with its nuclear inspection obligations.

Curious, meet coincidental.

Meanwhile, Iran’s proxy, Hamas, still refuses to release 50-plus hostages its terror members abducted on Oct. 7, 2023. How come?

America should always choose wisely when entering foreign conflicts. President George Washington was right in his warning to avoid foreign entanglements. But Iran has attacked Americans in the past — and given the chance, will continue to do so in the future.

“Trump promises to respond with ‘full strength and might’ of US military if Iran attacks America,” Fox News wrote in a recent headline.

The case can be made that Iran already has. The case can also be made that an Iranian attack on Israel is ultimately an attack on America.

It’d be beneficial if Iran came to the table and bargained a nuclear deal with Israel so as to put an end to immediate conflicts. But if they don’t, America shouldn’t hesitate to support Israel’s military operations against the terror state. This is actually a war that will make the entire world a safer, more peaceful place.
