The “No Kings” nationwide protests (mostly peaceful, of course, except where they weren’t) have had their moment in the sun (“Protesters crowd into streets, parks and plazas at anti-Trump ‘No Kings’ demonstrations across U.S.,” Web, June 14). Many protesters dressed in red, white and blue and carried American flags. Good for them. But perhaps they should have waited until July 4, when the U.S. officially commemorates “No Kings.”

Most Americans aren’t concerned with the purported abolition of the Constitution and the installation of a monarchy or dictatorship. What we do fret, however, is the election of another court jester, as demonstrated in 2020.
